Launched in 2024, these principles address a critical gap: while reporting standards existed in specific countries like Australia, the Netherlands, and the UK, the global institutional industry lacked a single consistent framework spanning performance, cost, service and timing. We carefully assess the quality of this data through a combination of validation rules and deep subject-matter expertise.<\/p><p><span lang=\"EN-CA\" xml:lang=\"EN-CA\" data-contrast=\"auto\">In 2024, we began quantitatively scoring the\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-CA\" xml:lang=\"EN-CA\" data-contrast=\"auto\">quality,\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-CA\" xml:lang=\"EN-CA\" data-contrast=\"auto\">completeness and com<\/span><span lang=\"EN-CA\" xml:lang=\"EN-CA\" data-contrast=\"auto\">parability<\/span><span lang=\"EN-CA\" xml:lang=\"EN-CA\" data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-CA\" xml:lang=\"EN-CA\" data-contrast=\"auto\">of data provided by each\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-CA\" xml:lang=\"EN-CA\" data-contrast=\"auto\">of\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-CA\" xml:lang=\"EN-CA\" data-contrast=\"auto\">CEM<\/span><span lang=\"EN-CA\" xml:lang=\"EN-CA\" data-contrast=\"auto\">\u2019s<\/span><span lang=\"EN-CA\" xml:lang=\"EN-CA\" data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-CA\" xml:lang=\"EN-CA\" data-contrast=\"auto\">defined benefit\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-CA\" xml:lang=\"EN-CA\" data-contrast=\"auto\">investment benchmarking pension<\/span><span lang=\"EN-CA\" xml:lang=\"EN-CA\" data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0fund\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-CA\" xml:lang=\"EN-CA\" data-contrast=\"auto\">client<\/span><span lang=\"EN-CA\" xml:lang=\"EN-CA\" data-contrast=\"auto\">s<\/span><span lang=\"EN-CA\" xml:lang=\"EN-CA\" data-contrast=\"auto\">. Each client receives a scorecard covering performance data, cost data, and timeliness \u2014 and is invited to review their results and make improvements.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">In 2026, the scoring has been expanded to CEM&#8217;s Defined Contribution Investment Benchmarking clients as well as Defined Benefit Administration Benchmarking clients. <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0scoring will evolve over time<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, based on market feedback<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">allowing<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0institutional investors time to develop the systems, data, and personnel needed to\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">act<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6ce5079 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"6ce5079\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">03.
